Ethical Framework & AI Transparency Statement
At Montages Media Labs (MML), we believe that the power of generative AI must be balanced with a commitment to creative integrity and public trust. As we navigate the frontier of cinematic AI, we adhere to the following ethical pillars:
1. Transparency & Disclosure
All content produced by MML is clearly identified as AI-assisted or AI-generated. We believe the audience has a right to know when they are engaging with synthetic media.
Gallery & Satire: Our portfolio includes early-phase R&D and satirical demonstrations. While these may feature recognizable likenesses for the purpose of technical proof-of-concept and parody, they are strictly labeled as AI-generated and were created with full disclosure.
2. Identity & Personality Rights
MML respects the rights of individuals to control their own digital likeness and voice.
Commercial Standards: We do not sell or license the unauthorized likenesses of public figures, celebrities, or private individuals.
Synthetic Alternatives: For all commercial and client-facing projects, MML utilizes original, AI-generated avatars and custom voice models. This ensures our clients own "clean" IP that is free from legal ambiguity and personality-rights infringement.
3. Zero-Tolerance for Deception
We leverage AI to enhance storytelling, not to distort reality for malicious gain. MML will categorically refuse any commission involving:
- False Endorsements: The creation of content intended to make a public figure appear to endorse a product or service without their consent.
- Fraud & Deceit: The production of "deepfake" media designed to mislead the public, mimic trusted financial figures (e.g., Martin Lewis), or facilitate fraudulent activities.
- Misinformation: Any content intended to spread verifiably false information or impersonate individuals for the purpose of social or political manipulation.
4. Human-Directed Orchestration
AI is our tool, but human judgment is our filter. Every frame of video produced by MML undergoes a "Human-in-the-Loop" vetting process to ensure it meets our rigorous ethical standards and aligns with the UK’s evolving digital safety regulations.
